Nike Outdoor Nationals 2024 Preview.

Hayward Field, on the campus of the University of Oregon will play host to the 2024 Nike Outdoor Nationals & USATF U20 Championships July 12- July 15, 2024.

This meet is said to be the premier U20 meet in the United States. Elite Middle School through U20 athletes from around the country will be competing in this spectacular event. 

Sprinters Maurice Gleaton (Jr, Fairburn, GA) and Jaden Wiley (Sr, Duluth, GA) on the Boys' side and Avery Lewis (Sr, Lynnwood, PA) and London Jackson Bray (Jr, Katy, TX) on the Girls' side headline a fast group from 100m to 400m.

Local star, Emily Wisniewski (Jr, Corvallis, OR shown below) is someone to watch in the Girls' 5000m.  Emily will be racing against top performers, Addison Dorenkamp (Sr, West Des Moines, IA) and Rylee Blade (Jr, Corona, CA) at the top of the strong pack. 

Other local athletes from Corvallis, Lebanon, Albany,  Silverton, Independence and Philomath are scheduled to compete. 

Expect to see boys' high jump around 7 feet, girls' pole vault just above 14 feet and boys' shot put over 74 feet.  If you like Track and Field, this is one event you won't want to miss, and Hayward Field is possible the best place to watch a track meet in the country.
