Summit vs Wilsonville High School Football OSAA 5A Semifinal

Summit vs Wilsonville OSAA 5A Semifinal; Wilsonville wins 34-2.

It was a beautiful, cold night for football at Willamette University where this interesting matchup for the OSAA 5A Football Semifinal took place.  It was a matchup of last year's final.  I personally wasn't sure how this would play out.  I hadn't seen either team play this year, but I had a feeling it might be really fun to watch.

Although the score ended up quite lopsided, it didn't really seem that way while I was shooting the action.  Through 3 quarters, I just felt like Summit was just one big play from being right in the game.  In the end, they just never came up with those big plays to keep them in this one.

From the beginning of the game, Wilsonville really had a hold of this one.  Although I thought Summit could jump right back in at almost any time, it just wasn't their night.  Wilsonville came to play, and there wasn't anything Summit could do to stop them.

Wilsonville went on to win the OSAA 5A Football Championship 29-23 over Mountain View.  Congratulations to you, Wilsonville.  I'm pretty sure I'll see you during the basketball season.
